listen up.

Here's what you need to know about me: try as I might, I am no good at social networking. Facrbook is the best I can do most of the time. Besides, I have no husband or kids so theres nothing interesting to read about. Let's be honest, I lead a boring life. Because who can have an interesting or fun life when they're single. Am I right?! False. But it so seems that everyone else believes so. Whatever! I'm having the time of my life in college with the most amazing friends and my whole future aheeel me. So feel sorry for me if you might but I don't. (Okay, sometimes I do. It gets lonely being single.) What a rant, right? I know. Sometimes people just bother me. Being single is not pathetic. Being in a relationship because you don't know how to be single is. So calm down everyone. Nicer thoughts to come...I promise.

The weekend...

Friday:
I made some enchilada's for us all for dinner to celebrate my acceptance into the Social Work program. They were so delicious I couldn't even get a picture first! But here's the delicious family recipe for the Tex-Mex enchilada's:

1lb ground beef
1 tbsp. milk
1 can refried beans
1 can enchilada sauce
1 can chili (no beans)
1 package tortillas (fajita size)
1 package of velvetta

So just cook your ground beef in a pan, once it's fully cooked drain the oil out and put the meat back in the pan. Add the refried beans and enchilada sauce in the pan with the meat until its melted together. Then lay out your tortillas a deep pan (Pyrex cakes pans work the best). Fill the tortillas with the meat/bean/sauce mix and close them. Then add 4 oz velvetta, the tbsp of milk, and the chili into a bowl. Microwave it until the cheese is melted, then pour on top of the enchiladas. And then add some shredded velvetta on top and cook for about 10-15 on 350 degrees.

Pretty easy recipe!!

Saturday:
I took two too many Spanish tests! Then spent the night partying it up! I hung out with an old friend from Texas, Jared!
It was so much fun, we went to a concert on campus with some other friends.
They had some of the most amazing performers! My favorite was James Gray Dawson VIII, and he actually won too! I highly recommend checking him out on itunes or spotify! He has what I assume is a demo cd out called "Food for Thought", it's very blues/soul. It's pretty awesome!

Here's the link for itunes: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/food-for-thought/id416634146

Afterwards we all had a very interesting time at Twizzle Berry, it was my first time going. It was pretty delicious and I'm sure I'll return again! Then we went back home and chilled and watched Batman Returns. It was cheesy and hilarious and the best! But it was extremely depressing that the Texas Ranger's lost game 3 of the finals for the World Series 16-7 to the Saint Louis Cardinals. But, I had faith in my Rangers!!

Sunday:
We started a temple prep class! It was super interesting and I cannot wait to continue on! It's no secret to pretty much every Mormon that knows me that I'm seeking my endowment! Just one more thing to make me whole. I can't wait and I'm super excited! We set a tentative date today of December 9th for me to go through the temple! I've decided to go through in Rexburg because I feel like it's the place where my life began, can't wait! And as a promise to Heavenly Father and myself, I am going to read the whole Book of Mormon again before going through. It's going to be interesting to say the least! And I'm sure you'll hear some insights about it as I continue you on! Wish me luck!

P.S. The Ranger's won game 4 of the World Series to tie it up 2-2 with the Cardinals. They won 4-0 and took the game! Only three more games and I sincerely hope we win! We can't lose two years in a row in the finals! And the Cowboys won too, but it was against the 5-0 (now 6-0) Rams so I'm not too sure how proud we can be of that 33-7 win. But a win is a win I suppose! Good day to be a Texan! (:

Better than the last...

Today was an even better day! I got accepted into the Social Work program at BYU-I!! So I can officially start in January and only have 4 more semesters of college! Woohoo! I'll be done with my Bachelor's in April 2013 and then on to the Master's!!(: I cannot wait to get started in the program, and then to graduate and be out in the world with a big girl job! And maybe a little part of me hopes to not be married so I can go back to Texas to get my Master's and get a loft in downtown Dallas. Yeah, say what you will but it has sorta always been a dream of mine. I found the perfect one for cheap, only like $700 a month which is about the same as a one bedroom apartment. But it is SO much cooler and of course a little bigger and more freeing.

It's in this sweet corner building, with a cute little garden on the right.
And it has an epic two-level inside. It's pretty much my dream come true to be honest with you haha. (Sorry the pictures are so small, but you get the point.) Maybe! Some day...perhaps. (:

In retrospect...

Today was a pretty good day. I had a few things to be excited about...
I FINALLY received my new memorial bracelet I've been waiting on for six weeks! (It's the one on the left) And I'm just as thrilled as can be and it looks fantastic.

I finally also bought the scriptures in Spanish! Way excited to read it and compare. I can't wait to continue to learn more Espanol!
I got too see this magnificently beautiful place!! Love the Rexburg Temple!

And last, but by absolutely no means least, I finally got Brian's wedding invite!! I was certainly most excited by this. It's just so sweet and I can't wait to see Mr. & Mrs. Brian Wilson!!! Yay!! I remember him as a sweet little 12 year old in middle school and he's such an amazing man! So thrilled for them!!

So...in retrospect:

PRETTY AWESOME DAY!!
Much love!!

I shall make things up if necessary(: I'm going to share pretty much anything, favorite new songs/bands, pictures, stories, scriptures, what ever I please! So feel free to be amused. (;
